Too Southern for the North
Skydive 2007
On 7th July 2007 a group of crazy chaps from Outdoor Lads went on a Skydiving course at BPS Langer near Nottingham.
We camped on the airfield for two nights; spent all of Saturday training, followed by a jump as a final test to ensure we’d taken it in!
In my case, I asked friends and family to sponsor my jump and their generosity raised £345; 100% of which went to the charity George House Trust.
Here’s my photo diary from the training day:
- Training to jump out of a plane.
- Learning to check that the canopy has opened.
- Dressed for the drop.
- Hi Ho, hi ho, it’s off to jump we go.
- Yep, this would be me (before turning into the wind to land).
- After jump feedback.
- Happy to be alive?
- Posing like we do this all the time.
- Our British Parachute School Certificates.
